Products & Preparation Methods
5% NSKE (Neem Seed Kernel Extract)
- Take 5 kg neem seed kernel powder
- Soak in 100 liters water overnight (8-12 hours)
- Filter through muslin cloth
- Add 100 ml mild detergent (as emulsifier)
- Spray within 6-8 hours (azadirachtin degrades quickly)
Ash Extract
- Mix 10 kg wood ash in 100 liters water
- Boil for 30 minutes or leave for 24 hours
- Filter and spray (effective against aphids, thrips)
Tobacco Extract
- Boil 2 kg tobacco dust/leaves in 10 liters water for 30 minutes
- Strain and dilute to 100 liters with water
- Add 100 ml soap solution
- Highly effective against caterpillars, aphids, mites
Ten Leaves Extract (Dashparni Ark)
Leaves of: Neem, custard apple, papaya, pongamia, chaste tree, vitex, calotropis, castor, miracle tree, and guava
- Pound 2 kg each of the ten leaves
- Soak in 100 liters water for 3-5 days
- Filter and use as broad-spectrum repellent
