The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of beekeeping and scientific livestock management in enhancing farmers' income and promoting sustainable agriculture.
Experts highlighted the vital role of honey bees in crop pollination, biodiversity conservation, and agricultural productivity. Farmers were informed about the economic opportunities available through beekeeping, including honey production, wax processing, and other value-added bee products. The importance of integrating beekeeping with farming systems to improve crop yields and generate additional income was also discussed.
Participants received guidance on scientific livestock management practices, including balanced feeding, vaccination, disease prevention, clean housing, and breeding management. The experts emphasized the role of livestock enterprises in strengthening rural livelihoods and improving the nutritional and economic security of farming families.
