Agronomy - OFT & FLD Technologies

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Pal (Jalgaon-I)
Soybean | Green Gram | Bengal Gram | Groundnut

Overview

The Agronomy Department at KVK Pal conducts On-Farm Testing (OFT) and Front Line Demonstrations (FLD) to evaluate and demonstrate improved crop production technologies under real farming conditions. These technologies focus on nutrient management, variety evaluation, and integrated nutrient management practices.

On-Farm Testing (OFT) Technologies

OFT - I
SOYBEAN
Application RDF 25:50:00 (NPK kg/ha) + 5 ton/ha FYM + 1% 19:19:19 Soluble Fertilizer

Foliar spray of 1% 19:19:19 soluble fertilizer (100 gm/10 lit water) at Flowering stage (60-65 DAS) and Pod Filling stage (90-95 DAS)

Treatment: RDF 25:50:00 NPK kg/ha + 5 ton/ha FYM + 1% 19:19:19 Spray (Flowering & Pod Filling)
OFT - II
GREEN GRAM
To Assess the Performance of Phule Chetak Variety of Green gram

Evaluation of Phule Chetak variety for yield potential, adaptability, and disease resistance under local agro-climatic conditions.

OFT - III
BENGAL GRAM
To Assess the Performance of Phule Vishwraj Variety of Bengal gram

Evaluation of Phule Vishwraj variety for yield performance, pod setting, and resistance to wilt and other diseases.

Front Line Demonstrations (FLD) Technologies

FLD - I
SOYBEAN
Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) in Soybean

Demonstration of integrated nutrient management practices combining organic and inorganic sources for sustainable soybean production and soil health improvement.

FLD - II
BENGAL GRAM
Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) in Bengal Gram

Demonstration of INM practices for Bengal gram to enhance productivity, improve soil fertility, and reduce input costs.

FLD - III
GROUNDNUT
Natural Farming in Groundnut

Demonstration of natural farming practices (Zero Budget Natural Farming / Organic approaches) for groundnut cultivation without synthetic inputs.
